Role Overview
This position is for an organized and detail-focused Administrative Supervisor to manage daily administrative activity and purchasing support across the business. The role combines team coordination, procurement, vehicle record management, expense review, and general office assistance. Success in this role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational ability, along with prior experience in administrative leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the driver group, making sure everyday operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Handle internal administrative issues, resolving routine concerns and escalating more complex matters when required.
- Keep the vehicle logbook up to date and ensure all records of usage and maintenance remain accurate.
- Review transport and administration-related costs, looking for ways to reduce spending where possible.
- Support other administrative needs, including temporary project assignments and assistance to branch staff when necessary.
- Manage purchasing activities from requisition through quotation collection, purchase order preparation, and delivery tracking.
- Identify, assess, and compare suppliers using factors such as product quality, cost, dependability, and service performance.
- Discuss and negotiate supplier pricing, contract terms, payment conditions, and service agreements.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant discipline is required.
- Applicants should have 3 to 4 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are important.
- Good interpersonal skills, organization, and the ability to solve problems effectively are needed.
- Competence with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is expected.
- The role also involves making sure office supplies, equipment, services, and operational materials are procured on time.
