Job description

About Lotus Interworks

Located in Perth, Western Australia, Lotus Interworks is a consultancy specializing in data and analytics. They collaborate with organizations to extract greater value from their data by designing, building, and supporting advanced analytics solutions, prioritizing strong relationships and exceptional service.

Role Overview

The Account Executive position is focused on driving new revenue from data and analytics consulting services for mid-market and enterprise clients primarily in Western Australia. This full-cycle sales role involves acquiring new clients and expanding existing accounts across diverse sectors such as government, financial services, mining, retail, and manufacturing. The role requires collaboration with expert data consultants to tailor bespoke solutions rather than simply selling products.

Note: This role mandates physical presence at the Perth office; remote work outside this location is not permitted.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire sales process including proactive outreach, discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure for assigned territory accounts.
  • Create and maintain a qualified sales pipeline to consistently meet or surpass an annual revenue quota for data and analytics consulting services.
  • Lead complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, including senior executives such as C-level and VPs.
  • Conduct consultative discussions to identify client challenges, technical restrictions, and desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with solutions architects and consulting teams to customize and present appropriate data and analytics offerings.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and oversee procurement and legal procedures until contract signing.
  • Foster long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business, expand accounts, and generate referrals.
  • Represent the company at outbound events, via partner channels, and through referrals to cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed records of pipeline, forecasts, and client communications within Salesforce.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum three years of B2B sales experience in technology, SaaS, or consulting services.
  • At least three years experience as a quota-carrying Account Executive (not a Sales Development or Business Development Representative).
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding annual sales quotas.
  • Successful closure of deals valued between $50,000 and $100,000 or higher in Annual Contract Value (ACV) or services.
  • Experience selling to mid-market or enterprise clients involving multiple decision-makers and complex buying processes.
  • Strong skills in discovery and qualification, connecting solutions directly to business outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with a focus on consultative, outcome-driven selling.
  • Business and technical understanding to translate complex data concepts into clear business benefits.
  • Capability to maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Attributes such as curiosity, resilience, teamwork, and meticulousness, especially under pressure.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience in selling data analytics, business intelligence, or cloud technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and modern data platform ecosystems.
  • Background in consultancy or professional services settings.
  • Skill in managing procurement, legal, and contract negotiations for professional services agreements.
  • Experience working collaboratively with architects, consultants, and delivery personnel to design and scope engagements.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range between 130,000 and 150,000 AUD, adjusted based on experience and performance.
  • Health insurance subsidy via BUPA covering employees and families.
  • Annual wellness allowance for gym memberships, sports activities, or fitness apps.
  • Life balance allowance designed to support relaxation and personal time.
  • Flexible technology options for computing equipment including choice between Windows or Mac and contributions toward ergonomic office setups.
  • Support for continuous professional development through training, certifications, and career growth opportunities.
  • Encouragement to participate in community impact initiatives, including pro bono consulting and paid volunteer leave.
  • Superannuation contributions compliant with Australian law, paid above the base salary.
