About the internship

Anil Shamdasani is looking for a motivated Law/Legal intern to work from the Thane office. The role is designed for a student or early-stage legal learner who wants practical exposure in conveyancing, legal documentation, research, drafting, and writing while working alongside an experienced advocate. The firm’s practice covers property documentation and registration, as well as civil litigation, testamentary and succession matters, and matrimonial disputes.

What you will do

• Carry out legal research and basic analysis to support active matters and project work.
• Prepare drafts of legal papers, notes, and correspondence with supervision from senior team members.
• Visit client meetings, court proceedings, and related legal forums to build practical exposure.
• Sort, organise, and keep legal records and case papers updated for quick retrieval.
• Work with the team on a range of legal assignments and contribute observations or suggestions where useful.
• Update contracts, agreements, and other legal documents whenever required.
• Handle routine administrative support tasks for the legal department and take on additional assigned work.

Skills and tools needed

Strong written and spoken English, comfort with legal drafting and research, and working knowledge of MS Office and MS Word are important for this internship.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open only to candidates who can join full time in office, begin between 29 June 2026 and 3 August 2026, stay for 6 months, are based in Thane, and have relevant interest and skills in law.

Internship details

This is a 6-month, immediate-start, full-time onsite internship in Thane. The stipend is INR 5,000 per month, and there is 1 opening.

About the company

The mentor is an advocate with substantial experience in conveyancing and legal documentation, including drafting, vetting, and registration of property-related instruments. The practice is also empanelled with LIC Housing Finance, Bank of India, and Adani Housing Finance. Along with property work, the firm handles civil litigation, testamentary disputes, estate and succession matters, and matrimonial disputes, covering both transactional and contested legal services.
