Internship Role and Responsibilities

The selected interns will handle several key journalism tasks, including ensuring factual accuracy, cross-verifying information from trustworthy sources, and communicating with clarity and simplicity. They will apply fundamental reporting techniques based on Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How, maintaining impartiality without personal bias. Writing impactful headlines and structuring stories using the inverted pyramid method are also essential. Additionally, interns will avoid sensationalism, uphold ethical conduct and privacy standards, and carry out thorough proofreading before publication.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should be fully available for an in-office, full-time internship commencing between August 1 and September 5, 2026, and lasting for three months. They must possess relevant aptitude and enthusiasm aligned with the role's demands.

Additional Details and Benefits

This position offers a monthly stipend ranging from 6000 to 18000 INR. There are seven openings available. Working hours are flexible over five days a week with an informal dress code. Perks include a certificate of internship completion, letter of recommendation, and complimentary snacks and beverages.
