Youth Mentor

About the Role

Elevate Beyond is seeking Youth Mentors to join multiple specialist environments including SEMH schools, Alternative Provision academies, PRUs, charity organizations, and community outreach initiatives within Greater Manchester. This role involves engaging with young individuals aged 11 to 25 who face significant challenges such as SEMH needs, exclusions from education, involvement with youth justice, or disengagement from schooling.

Key Responsibilities

Mentoring and developing positive relationships to help youths rebuild self-confidence and resilience, guiding them towards further education, employment, or training opportunities.

Salary Information

Hourly pay ranges from 34 to 38, equivalent to 30 to 30 per day.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience supporting youth in settings such as youth work, community programs, Alternative Provision, or SEMH environments
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and be registered with the DBS Update Service
• Level 2 Safeguarding certification is mandatory
• Two professional references required
• Must have legal authorization to work in the UK

Possession of JNC qualifications and experience in mentoring, outreach, or violence reduction is beneficial but not required.
