About the Company and Role

We are looking for a dependable and diligent Yardman to enhance the daily management of our yard and operational facilities, ensuring a tidy, safe, and efficient workspace. You will support project operations throughout the South of the UK by maintaining readiness of vehicles, plants, equipment, and materials.
Key Duties
- Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe.
- Handle loading and unloading tasks of vehicles, equipment, and supplies.
- Prepare tools, plants, and equipment for active use.
- Conduct inspections for any damages or issues on vehicles and other assets.
- Oversee inventory management including materials, consumables, and personal protective equipment.
- Execute routine maintenance and housekeeping activities within the yard.
- Assist in managing deliveries, collections, and related logistics.
- Ensure correct and secure equipment storage.
- Support vehicle and plant checks, servicing plans, and associated record-keeping.
- Operate forklifts and other yard machinery if qualified.
- Manage waste segregation and disposal adhering to company environmental procedures.
- Assist with operational team movements for mobilization and demobilization.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Professional representation of Lining Division Ltd at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in yard operations, warehouse management, logistics, construction, or operational assistance.
- Sound knowledge of safe work practices.
- Capability to perform manual and physical tasks.
- Strong work ethic and positive mindset.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Good organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Basic communication and record maintenance skills.
- Flexible and willing to support changing operational needs.
- Forklift license is advantageous.
- Experience within construction, utilities, drainage, or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
- Possession of a full UK driving license is desirable.
