Role Overview

The Workday Systems Specialist is pivotal in supporting HammondCare's mission by ensuring the optimal use and continual enhancement of the organisation’s HR systems. The specialist is accountable for the ongoing maintenance, support, and configuration of the Workday platform, including its entire suite of modules, and must maintain Workday HCM accreditation. This role ensures the system aligns with business needs and provides a seamless user experience across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert knowledge and configuration for Workday systems.
  • Manage change processes related to the HR system.
  • Handle service requests pertaining to Workday functionalities.
  • Continuously seek system improvements and optimizations.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong commitment to align with HammondCare’s Christian mission and values.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in HR or IT functions related to HR systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Absence, and Recruiting modules.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative problem-solving approach.
  • Tertiary education in a relevant field.
  • Highly organized with excellent planning skills and the ability to prioritize effectively under deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to clearly document and communicate technical information.
  • Experience delivering business-as-usual and project-driven improvements.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with the full Workday HCM suite, experience in aged care, health sector or nonprofit organizations, prior business partnering or consulting within Workday HCM, and business analysis expertise including workshops, requirements elicitation, process mapping, and testing.
