Job Overview
The Food & Beverage Server is responsible for upholding The Meydan Hotel's F&B quality standards, displaying effective up-selling skills, and collaborating with colleagues to fulfill special guest requests. Excellent product knowledge, telephone etiquette, and teamwork are crucial, as well as communicating guest feedback to leadership to maintain superior service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all team activities comply with The Meydan Hotel's quality standards.
- Act as the communication bridge between kitchen and service departments.
- Deliver table and counter service for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on food and beverage offerings.
- Advise guests on menu items and drinks.
- Receive and store food and beverage items following hygiene protocols.
- Continuously monitor food and beverage quality and report concerns to management.
- Use up-selling techniques to exceed guest expectations and boost revenue.
- Possess basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
Qualifications and Skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
- Willingness and aptitude to learn and perform F&B attendant duties.
- Previous experience in hospitality, especially in food and beverage departments, ideally in a five-star lodge environment, is a plus.
- Capability to lift heavy items as needed for guest service.
- Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail, accuracy, and minimal supervision.
- Strong guest service orientation and communication skills.
