About the Position

This opportunity is open across five academic levels including Postdoctoral Fellow, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor, and Chair Professor. Candidates are expected to possess a proven record of high-quality research publications, successful grant acquisition, and rich experience in mentoring research students.

Responsibilities

The appointed professor will typically be responsible for instructing two academic modules or courses per year, typically one per semester. In addition to teaching, they will play a pivotal role in leading curriculum innovation and strengthening the institution's international research reputation. Administrative tasks will be assigned according to the candidate's experience.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• PhD degree in a closely related discipline and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education or equivalent
• Several years of university-level teaching or research experience following PhD completion
• Experience in supervising PhD candidates
• A strong track record of publications in the candidate's area of expertise
• Demonstrated success in securing research grants
• Proficiency in English language

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Membership in relevant professional bodies such as BCS, IET, ACM, IEE, or HEA is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranges by rank:
  • Lecturer: 280,000 to 320,000 RMB
  • Assistant Professor: 360,000 to 400,000 RMB
  • Associate Professor: 450,000 to 490,000 RMB
  • Senior Associate Professor: 540,000 to 580,000 RMB
  • Professor: above 620,000 RMB (negotiable)
• Subsidies provided for housing, travel, children’s education, and medical insurance
