Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Business Development and Strategy, the Vice President of Transactions will drive the company’s growth by leading the origination, analysis, structuring, and execution of reinsurance and strategic transactions. This role interfaces closely with actuarial, legal, finance teams, and external advisors to develop transaction pipelines and deliver successful client outcomes. The position is based in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead execution of reinsurance deals, including block and strategic transactions under senior leadership guidance.
• Support building and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential deals through market research and client engagement.
• Act as the primary representative with cedants and counterparties during transaction lifecycles.
• Collaborate with actuarial and finance teams on transaction analysis, financial modeling, and due diligence.
• Drive pricing and structure discussions, providing analyses and recommendations to senior management.
• Coordinate and manage third-party advisors such as legal counsel and consultants engaged in transactions.
• Prepare detailed transaction documentation, internal approvals, and materials for executive and board review.
• Track transaction progress, governance, reporting, and documentation compliance.
• Assist in regulatory and industry body interactions and compile materials for required approvals.
• Contribute to creation of innovative reinsurance solutions, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
• Ensure adherence to company values, legal regulations, and internal policies.
• Maintain necessary professional licenses and certifications.

Candidate Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in reinsurance, insurance, investment management, or financial services involving transaction execution or deal analysis.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in M&A, block reinsurance, or flow reinsurance transactions.
• Comprehensive understanding of insurance liabilities, financial analysis, and deal structuring.
• High proficiency with financial modeling and data-driven decision making.
• Proven capability to establish strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate within transaction teams.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience preparing senior management presentations.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Self-motivated with a balance between execution focus and contribution to strategic planning.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $215,000 to $295,000, variable by location, skills, and experience.
• Eligibility for annual bonus and performance incentives.
