Vehicle Operator / Driver

Role overview

This position is for a proactive, self-driven vehicle operator to support a vehicle data collection program in Dubai. The main purpose of the role is to help gather accurate, high-quality driving data that can be used to enhance vehicle performance. The work environment is fast-moving and requires strong adaptability, a careful eye for detail, and comfort working under changing conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a vehicle within an assigned area as part of data collection activities.
• Manage recording equipment by starting and stopping devices as needed, and carry out minor troubleshooting on hardware or software issues.
• Review and report the data gathered during each shift.
• Share observations and propose practical improvements that can make the data collection process more effective.
• Prepare a daily driving report covering key observations, incidents, and issues.
• Inspect the vehicle each day to confirm it is safe and functioning properly before use.

Requirements

• A clean driving history and consistently safe driving behavior.
• At least 4 years of licensed driving experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a highly observant approach.
• Very good written and spoken English skills.
• Solid computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Familiarity with driver-assistance technologies.
• Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts, including one day over the weekend; overtime should also be expected.

Working conditions

The role is based in Dubai and is expected to follow an on-site schedule. The position requires flexibility in shift timing and may involve overtime as part of the normal work pattern.
