About the Role
Join UtiliQuest, LLC as a Trainee Utility Locator and become skilled in detecting underground utility lines while prioritizing safety and accuracy. You'll collaborate with seasoned locators, operate specialized tools, and document your discoveries to support safe and efficient construction work.
Responsibilities
- Acquire knowledge of utility locating methods, safety procedures, and the operation of locating equipment.
- Gain insight into local utility infrastructure and applicable regulations.
- Assist experienced locators in marking underground utilities.
- Use utility locating devices effectively.
- Record findings through digital mapping technologies.
- Perform tasks regardless of weather conditions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Eligible to work for UtiliQuest within the United States.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Valid non-provisional state driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Physical capability to work independently in remote areas, including lifting up to 55 pounds and performing activities such as bending, standing, walking, and fine hand motions.
- Occasional ability to use ladders, work in confined spaces, and climb stairs.
