About Remus Logistics
Remus Logistics Limited, headquartered in Ndola, Copperbelt Province, Zambia, is a fuel transportation enterprise established under the Companies Act No. 10 of 2017. Since commencing operations in December 2024, the company specializes in cross-border fuel deliveries across Southern and Central Africa, managing a fleet of 300 fuel tankers. The organization is rapidly expanding and values safety, reliability, and efficiency in its logistics services.
Role Overview
We are looking to recruit 100 experienced Truck Drivers who will be responsible for operating fuel tankers for regional and cross-border deliveries. The role involves ensuring the safe and punctual transport of fuel, conducting vehicle inspections, securing cargo, adhering to predetermined routes, and compliance with company safety protocols and regulatory standards. Drivers will collaborate with dispatch teams, complete delivery documentation, and communicate any operational issues encountered on the road. Assistance with unloading fuel at client sites will also be required, alongside maintaining professionalism and clear communication with clients and colleagues.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven expertise in safely operating heavy-duty vehicles and fuel tanker trucks.
- Possession of a valid heavy-duty commercial driving license and demonstrable experience in long-distance trucking.
- Competency in safely unloading fuel and managing related equipment.
- Preferred qualifications include a clean driving record, experience transporting hazardous materials (fuel), basic vehicle maintenance knowledge, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and cross-border shifts.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to follow instructions and routes precisely.
