Role Summary
We are looking for a commercially astute and energetic Trade Executive to join our Commercial team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on supporting trade and commercial operations within the Gulf region, with duties encompassing cargo pricing, optimizing vessel capacity, analyzing trade performance, and close cooperation with various stakeholders to enhance revenue generation and maintain competitive market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing pricing strategies for Gulf trade services to boost revenue and increase market share.
- Assess freight rate requests, quotations, and commercial proposals ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and market trends.
- Coordinate with regional agencies to guarantee precise execution of approved pricing, commercial contracts, and trade policies.
- Track vessel space utilization; partner with agencies to optimize cargo distribution to maximize capacity usage.
- Analyze booking patterns, cargo demands, and market shifts to uncover growth opportunities and support trade expansions.
- Handle customer requests relating to commercial arrangements, free time extensions, and specialized service needs.
- Investigate freight discrepancies, verify commercial documentation, and aid in resolving customer and agency issues.
- Monitor the use of refrigerated and special cargo to enhance overall service efficiency and profitability.
- Support tender processes, strategic quotations for key accounts, and commercial projects through market insights and pricing guidance.
- Prepare and maintain accurate trade reports and uphold commercial data quality.
- Collaborate effectively with Regional Offices, Agencies, Commercial, Operations, and Customer Service teams to meet trade goals.
- Provide management with commercial insights, performance data, and market intelligence to inform decision-making.
- Foster and maintain robust relationships with agency partners and internal teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at boosting operational efficiency, service standards, and commercial outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related fields.
- Have between 2 and 5 years of professional experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, trade management, or commercial operations.
- Prior experience in the container shipping sector is advantageous.
