Technical Project Manager (ICT Network)

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Project Manager specializing in ICT network infrastructure to lead the planning, design, execution, and final delivery of complex ICT and network projects. The role involves managing extensive network infrastructure initiatives while coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams and engaging key stakeholders to meet business, security, operational, and timeline goals.

Primary Duties

• Oversee the full project lifecycle of ICT network infrastructure schemes from initiation through to testing, commissioning, and close-out.
• Handle project scope, deadlines, deliverables, interdependencies, and manage change requests carefully.
• Regularly monitor and report project progress including milestone tracking, risk and issue management to the program management team.
• Ensure projects conclude on schedule, within scope, budget parameters, and meet quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance by managing the roll-out of city-wide enterprise network infrastructures.
• Collaborate closely with network architects, engineers, cybersecurity specialists, cloud experts, and infrastructure teams to fulfill all technical requirements effectively.
• Serve as the main point of contact bridging internal stakeholders, external vendors, subcontractors, and customers, translating complex technical details into understandable insights for senior management.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and ensure all activities comply with organization policies, industry standards, and regulations.
• Supervise system tests, acceptance, and operational readiness processes and implement quality control measures to guarantee successful delivery.
• Manage third-party ICT vendors, contractors, consultants, and service providers, monitoring their performance and contractual obligations.
• Efficiently organize and allocate internal and external resources for project execution.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar fields. Master's degree is advantageous.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is mandatory.
• Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIE required.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in ICT networks with over 5 years specifically in managing ICT network projects.
• Proven track record managing timelines, multi-site locations, and cross-functional teams on city-wide ICT network projects.
• Deep understanding of enterprise network architecture, routing and switching, SD-WAN, wireless networking (Wi-Fi), data center infrastructure, cloud networking with platforms like Azure and Google Cloud, network security, fiber optic infrastructure, structured cabling, telecommunications technologies, and disaster recovery/business continuity planning.
• Expertise with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches.
