Technical Manager

Role overview

This position calls for a proactive, hands-on Technical Manager to coordinate several development pods within a product module. The role is central to delivering the module on time and at a high standard, strengthening technical quality, and encouraging close teamwork across engineering functions. The right candidate will bring solid cloud-native experience, ideally on Azure, strong exposure to modern databases, and practical Agile leadership, along with hands-on work in .NET and React.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and support multiple development pods building enterprise-grade, cloud-native applications.
• Make architectural choices, uphold coding standards, and drive technical best practices across teams.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams to support smooth delivery and scalable solutions.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle with attention to quality, performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Run Agile ceremonies and ensure teams follow Scrum processes effectively.
• Promote cloud-first engineering approaches using Azure or other major cloud environments.
• Support teams in working with SQL and NoSQL databases, GraphQL APIs, and scalable backend components.
• Provide direct technical leadership for development efforts built on .NET and React.
• Track progress across pods, identify and manage risks early, and share regular updates with the Delivery Head.

Required experience and qualifications

• At least 8 years of software development experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a technical leadership position.
• Demonstrated success in leading more than one engineering team or pod.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms, with Azure preferred and AWS or GCP also acceptable.
• Practical, hands-on experience with .NET and React.
• Exposure to Cosmos DB, GraphQL, REST APIs, and microservices-based architectures.
• Strong command of Agile delivery methods, especially Scrum.
• Ability to lead technical design conversations and perform code reviews.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred qualifications

• Certifications in Azure or other cloud technologies.
• Experience working in DevOps settings with CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
• Knowledge of additional SQL or NoSQL databases and data integration tools.
• Background in developing internal enterprise software solutions.
