Role Overview
Within the Production Department, the selected candidate will join the Eukaryotic Manufacturing team, working hands-on in the production of proteins such as antibodies. The daily operations are diverse, managing a product range of up to 2000 specificities, utilizing various modern cultivation systems, and continuously digitizing processes. The role also entails close collaboration with R&D for new product developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on upstream processing activities including thawing cells, batch cultivation, and filtration of culture supernatant.
- Support technology transfer from research to production while ensuring consistent high product quality.
- Execute in-process controls, analyze and document data rigorously, collaborating closely with interfaces within Production and Research divisions.
- Maintain ISO-compliant documentation of results, perform targeted data evaluations, and clearly present findings within the team and across departments.
- Contribute expertise and ideas to solve production-related challenges and aid in the advancement of innovative products for severe disease research.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Completed training as a laboratory technician or technical assistant, or a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or Biotechnology.
- Experience with cell culture techniques and sterile handling protocols.
- Preferably possess hands-on experience with bioreactors.
- Structured, reliable, and goal-oriented work approach combined with initiative, teamwork skills, and commitment.
- Comfortable working in an international environment with fluent German, good English skills, and proficiency in MS Office.
Additional Information
This position is limited to an 18-month fixed term contract.
