Taxi Services & Direct Response Performance Assistant Manager

Job purpose

This role supports the operational supervision of contracted taxi and demand-responsive transport (DR) services. The main objective is to keep fleets ready, vehicles compliant, and service coverage within agreed standards so passengers in Jeddah receive safe and fair mobility access.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee vehicle availability and deployment across contracted taxi and DR providers, making sure fleets are positioned to satisfy coverage needs and contractual obligations.
• Review operator compliance with maintenance schedules, safety checks, and roadworthiness rules, and escalate any gaps or breaches to management.
• Study fleet usage data to spot inefficiencies, cut downtime, and improve how vehicles are assigned across the taxi and DR network.
• Help manage contract requirements tied to vehicle standards and fleet compliance, and contribute to contract reviews and enforcement actions.
• Arrange backup plans for vehicle shortages, breakdowns, and sudden demand spikes so service continuity is maintained.
• Work with operators on daily coordination to reduce passenger waiting times and keep service available across all service zones.
• Partner with technology and contract teams to support fleet monitoring tools that improve live visibility into vehicle deployment and operator compliance.
• Track fleet-related budget usage, identify differences versus plan, and support reviews aimed at improving cost efficiency.
• Prepare performance updates for management covering trends, compliance issues, and opportunities to improve operations across contracted taxi and DR operators.
• Help incorporate sustainability requirements into vehicle contracts, including emissions expectations and vehicle lifecycle limits where relevant.

The position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time onsite role.
