Systems Administrator Assistant

Overview

Convex Tech is looking for a proficient IT System Administrator to oversee and support the IT infrastructure based in Lakadikapul, Hyderabad. This full-time position involves ensuring smooth operation, security, and reliability of servers, networks, and related technology systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
• Track system performance, diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP services, and user account administration.
• Execute backup routines, disaster recovery plans, and data restoration tasks.
• Install and upgrade operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
• Apply security protocols including patch deployment and vulnerability management.
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Offer technical support resolving end-user IT challenges.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and relevant infrastructure details.
• Work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams on infrastructure initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of two years' experience in system administration or IT infrastructure support roles.
• In-depth understanding of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network principles.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, or AWS.
• Knowledgeable in backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
