About the Role
At IDEA Services, we provide support to adults with intellectual disabilities so they can live fulfilling lives within their homes and communities. As a Support Worker based in Rotorua, you will be essential in helping individuals reach their personal goals, build confidence, and enjoy life on their own terms. This role is meaningful and varied, with no two days or nights alike, offering opportunities for creativity, forming real connections, and making a positive impact.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Bring enthusiasm and energy to your daily work.
- Work on a permanent full-time basis, including weekends and sleepover shifts.
- Availability for alternate weekends is required.
Candidate Profile
- Preferably have experience in caregiving or providing personal care to adults.
- Possess a calm demeanor and confidence in handling challenging behaviors.
- Flexible to work various shifts including weekends and overnight.
- Comfortable and skilled in daily use of computers and tablets.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Physically capable to provide required physical assistance.
- Hold a full New Zealand driver’s license.
