About JYSK and the Opportunity
JYSK has been expanding globally since its inception in 1979 and places great value on its employees as the cornerstone of its success. The company focuses on fostering growth, development, and challenges for its workforce. Operating under three core values — Tradesman, Colleague, and Corporate Spirit — JYSK emphasizes trust, empowerment, responsibility, and rewarding dedication.
They have ambitious expansion plans in the UK and Ireland over the next five years and seek enthusiastic, determined individuals ready to grow with the company.
Program Overview
The JYSK Store Manager Trainee program provides an extensive retail management education designed to prepare candidates to take full store responsibility within a year. The program includes five weeks of interactive training covering all essential store operations, supported by coaches from retail and HR backgrounds.
Participants are hired as Deputy Store Managers during the program, gaining hands-on experience in stores and receiving mentorship for continuous development. Training is delivered both at the Head Office and local stores via five one-week modules involving theory, practical cases, role plays, group work, and team building activities. Between modules, trainees work on the job under the guidance of an assigned Store Manager mentor. The ultimate goal is for trainees to be fully equipped to manage their own store effectively.
