Role Overview
We seek a dedicated STEM Researcher to engage remotely in designing and solving complex STEM problems that evaluate the boundaries of large language models (LLMs). This full-time position involves producing detailed, methodical solutions with clear and precise reasoning, while working closely with LLM researchers to ensure alignment with evaluation objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and resolve intricate STEM problems to assess the limits of large language models.
- Create comprehensive, step-by-step solutions accompanied by well-explained rationale.
- Collaborate with large language model researchers to ensure problems align with evaluation frameworks, focusing on abstraction, multi-step problem-solving, and symbolic manipulation.
- Assist in establishing new evaluation benchmarks inspired by physics curricula across undergraduate through PhD levels.
- Apply AI-driven methods to enhance analytical skills and adapt for future career growth in an AI-oriented environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced analytical capability supported by strong STEM knowledge, notably at the engineering entrance exam, graduate, or PhD level.
- Competence in simplifying complex STEM concepts into clear, understandable explanations.
- Creative thinking and lateral problem-solving skills to tackle challenging questions.
- Excellent structured communication and teamwork abilities suitable for remote collaboration.
- Self-driven and capable of independently managing tasks with access to a reliable computer and internet connection.
