Position Summary
ExeQut is seeking a skilled Splunk Administrator / Engineer to architect, deploy, and enhance Splunk systems used for security monitoring, log management, SIEM operations, and operational analytics. This role involves close collaboration with SOC, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and network teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain all components of Splunk Enterprise including Search Heads, Indexers, Forwarders, and Deployment Servers.
- Manage extensive distributed and clustered Splunk environments, including indexes, sourcetypes, retention policies, and role-based access controls.
- Constantly monitor platform health, optimize performance, and ensure availability; troubleshoot issues related to data indexing and search functionalities.
- Onboard and manage logs from various security and IT sources; handle forwarders, data inputs, and field extractions primarily on Linux/Unix platforms.
- Provide support for Splunk Enterprise Security including correlation searches, alerting mechanisms, notable events, and dashboard development.
- Assist SOC teams by performing searches and aiding investigative activities.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent level of practical experience.
- Proven hands-on experience in administering Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SIEM solutions, log management, and security monitoring frameworks.
- Familiarity with Linux and Unix operating systems.
