Software Tester

Role Overview

Altroz Technologies is seeking a dedicated Software Tester to join their team in Pune, Maharashtra. The successful candidate will be responsible for both manual and automated testing to ensure the software meets high quality benchmarks before deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and execute test cases for both manual and automated testing scenarios.
• Interpret and analyze business requirements to devise effective test plans and scenarios.
• Detect, report, follow up, and verify software defects using issue tracking systems.
• Conduct various testing types including Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Work collaboratively with development teams and business analysts to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
• Confirm software quality standards are met prior to production release.
• Engage actively in Agile/Scrum processes and testing-related meetings.
• Document testing outcomes and prepare comprehensive test reports.

Required Skills and Experience

• 2 to 3 years experience in the field of software testing.
• Thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and the Defect Life Cycle processes.
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing practices.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Postman, and JIRA issue tracker.
• Solid understanding of API Testing and working with databases using SQL queries.
• Strong analytical thinking along with debugging and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related discipline.
• Experience working on .NET framework applications.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools is advantageous.
