Role Overview

As an Intermediate Quality Software Engineer on our Integration team, you will take ownership of ensuring the quality of integrations linking our Accounts Payable platform with various ERP and accounting systems. Your main responsibility is guaranteeing accurate and reliable data transfer between systems. The role combines manual and automated testing, primarily emphasizing manual and exploratory testing while also maintaining automated test suites. You will work with technologies including PHP, TypeScript, and C#/.NET in a cloud-hosted environment (AWS, Microsoft Azure, GitHub) embracing DevOps practices focused on continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate early with Product and Development teams to understand features, clarify requirements, and advise on general versus specific integration solutions.
• Design and execute structured manual test cases encompassing regression, acceptance, integration, exploratory, and edge case testing.
• Verify accurate data synchronization across our platform and external ERP systems including workflows, mapping rules, and error handling.
• Engage with developers during development cycles through pair testing and exploratory testing to embed quality from the outset.
• Contribute to and maintain automated end-to-end test frameworks using TypeScript, recommending additional tests as needed.
• Adapt to fast-paced testing demands by performing ad-hoc validations alongside developers.
• Keep thorough documentation of test plans, regression suites, and supporting quality assurance artifacts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in manual and automated testing of web applications, desktop software, and third-party integrations.
• Skilled in troubleshooting issues across multiple application layers.
• Proficient understanding of Agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using Jira for bug tracking and project management.
• Strong communication skills for managing QA activities across project phases.
• Efficient in test planning, effort estimation, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
• Comfortable using Linux command line for daily operations.
• Programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript or languages such as PHP, C#/.NET, or Python.
• Experience with automation tools like Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
• Comfortable working in Linux, Windows, or macOS environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing integrations and synchronization between services.
• Familiarity with ERP, accounting systems, or Accounts Payable concepts.
• Basic knowledge of AI tools to enhance QA processes.

Salary Range: CAD 82,000 to 110,000 annually.
