Job description
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive HR professional to join us onsite in Abu Dhabi Airports Free Zone for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. This position focuses on partnering with site leadership to implement people strategies that support business goals and encourage a high-performing and engaged workforce. The role involves delivering strategic and operational HR support in areas such as employee relations, compliance, workforce planning, and employee experience, ensuring alignment with company policies, labor laws, and the ADAFZ regulatory framework.
Key Duties
- Advise and coach site leaders and managers to develop effective teams, manage performance issues, resolve workplace challenges, and implement change through consistent HR practices and corrective measures.
- Collaborate closely with HR partners, Communities of Expertise including Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management, as well as People Services to execute people strategies, compliance activities, and employee processes compliant with regional labor laws and ADAFZ policies.
- Drive employee engagement and foster positive relations via workforce insights, surveys, and handling disciplinary and grievance cases effectively.
- Ensure all HR activities support compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and regulations through proper handling of workforce changes like hiring, restructuring, and terminations.
- Promote organizational culture by embedding behavioral standards that align with business strategies and enhance the overall employee experience.
- Enable leadership to cultivate engaged, high-performing teams by facilitating recognition programs, clear communication, and initiatives that boost satisfaction, productivity, and outcomes.
- Manage employee and labor relations by providing guidance on workplace issues, conducting impartial investigations, and supporting grievance processes to maintain constructive industrial relations.
- Apply HR best practices and organizational effectiveness techniques to enhance processes, improve performance, and foster sustainable business results.
- Exhibit strong business insight by aligning HR programs with organizational priorities and delivering initiatives that support people strategy and business objectives.
- Oversee and contribute to HR administrative tasks including monthly payroll, attendance management, and employee services to ensure seamless HR operations for site leaders, managers, and staff.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of experience as a generalist HR business partner in dynamic environments, preferably within the UAE.
- Proven ability to partner with leaders in complex matrix settings, influencing decisions and aligning HR initiatives with regional or global strategies.
- Expertise in employee relations encompassing disciplinary procedures, grievance management, unbiased investigations, and conflict resolution with confidentiality.
- Comprehensive experience in managing the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, retention, and engagement.
- Experience in organizational change, workforce planning, restructures, or transformation projects in evolving settings.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE Labor Law and free zone regulations, with a preference for ADAFZ or similar environments.
- Familiarity with HR operations such as compensation and benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HR information systems (HRIS, time and attendance systems).
- Strong analytical skills with experience using HR metrics and dashboards to support data-driven decisions and business recommendations.
- Solid project management abilities and problem-solving skills to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills to engage with senior leadership effectively.
- Ability to work independently with high levels of accountability, discretion, and detail orientation within a multicultural workplace.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Fluent English communication skills; Arabic language ability is considered an advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, maintenance repair operations, or technical production environments is a plus.
- Professional HR certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, or HRCI are advantageous.
- Preference for candidates who currently hold legal work and residency status in the UAE.
