Shift Lead - Clonmel Store

About the Role

This full-time position based in Clonmel, County Tipperary requires adaptability with opening and closing shifts. The Shift Lead is entrusted with managing fill operations to ensure the sales floor is prepared for trading, coordinating team resources to deliver excellent service, selling, and replenishment activities. When the Colleague Manager is unavailable, the Shift Lead oversees floor operations directly.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct fill processes to maintain a sales floor ready for customers.
• Coach team members on the "One Best Way" approach and boost operational productivity before store opening.
• Effectively allocate staff resources to ensure smooth and swift payment transactions.
• Implement daily operational procedures efficiently throughout the store, strictly adhering to schedules.
• Lead the team in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized retail environment.
• Foster an inclusive and positive team culture.
• Exemplify exceptional customer service skills as a role model.
• Demonstrate M&S's core behaviours and colleague expectations consistently across the store.
• Assist Colleague Managers by observing and supporting team performance and recognizing achievements.
• Provide operational support to neighboring stores when needed.
• Hold key responsibilities such as key holding, responding to call outs, and managing opening/closing procedures including vehicle receipt, temperature checks, and cash handling compliant with TSL.

Candidate Profile
