Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time, remote ServiceNow Developer to design, configure, and implement ServiceNow solutions that streamline enterprise workflows and enhance IT service management. Responsibilities include developing and customizing applications, modules, and integrations in alignment with business objectives and platform standards. Daily tasks involve scripting and building backend logic, maintaining and optimizing existing ServiceNow deployments, and troubleshooting to improve system performance and user experience. The developer will collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, devise technical specifications, and deliver thoroughly tested and documented improvements, staying current on ServiceNow releases and proposing new feature integrations for continual enhancement.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong grasp of Computer Science fundamentals and software engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience in backend web development, emphasizing server-side scripting and system integrations.
• Proficient in programming and scripting languages relevant to ServiceNow, such as JavaScript.
• Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming concepts for scalable solution design.
• Experience managing and developing ServiceNow modules like ITSM, ITOM, or HR Service Delivery.
• Working knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, including data integration approaches and secure inter-system communication.
• Ability to translate business needs into detailed technical designs with accompanying documentation and thorough testing.
• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and capability to operate effectively in a remote, distributed setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Certifications in ServiceNow (e.g., Certified System Administrator or Application Developer) are advantageous.
• Familiarity with enterprise IT service management contexts or consulting experience is a plus.
