The team works across business intelligence and visualization, data management, performance management, and advanced analytics, including big data, cloud, cognitive technologies, and machine learning.
This opening is for a Senior Software Developer – Python within the AI Solutions team. The work centers on building scalable, intelligent backend systems for the electrification domain, with a blend of strong Python engineering and hands-on exposure to AI/ML and Generative AI.
Location: Bangalore / Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
What you will do
- Build, enhance, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python-based frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Write robust, reusable, and test-friendly Python code using object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and established design patterns.
- Partner with AI/ML specialists to move machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI models into production environments.
- Develop API layers and integration flows for model serving and inference.
- Create and support ETL and data-processing pipelines that handle extraction, transformation, and loading of large datasets.
- Use NumPy, Pandas, and SQL systems for data preparation and analytical work.
- Contribute to GenAI solutions involving retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector databases, and LLM integration.
- Take part in architecture and design discussions to improve scalability, resilience, and system performance.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD workflows and follow DevOps practices for deployment and monitoring automation.
- Design solutions with strong observability, including structured logs, monitoring, alerting, and tracing.
- Tune systems for throughput, concurrency, stability, and scale.
- Support code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and junior team guidance when needed.
Required background
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- At least 6 years of practical Python software development experience.
- Solid command of Python fundamentals, object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Proven ability to solve coding and architecture problems effectively.
- Working experience with backend frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong knowledge of REST API design and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on work with NumPy, Pandas, and SQL.
- Understanding of ETL processes and data lifecycle management.
- Exposure to integrating and deploying AI/ML models.
- Basic familiarity with generative AI concepts such as RAG, embeddings, vectorization, vector databases, and LLM workflows.
- Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Awareness of cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred profile
- Experience with MLOps and model monitoring.
- Hands-on exposure to cloud AI services such as AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, Azure ML Studio, or Azure OpenAI Service.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or OpenTelemetry.
- Prior work on high-performance, scalable backend systems.
- Familiarity with LangChain, FAISS, ChromaDB, or similar GenAI tooling.
- Knowledge of Rust is a strong advantage.
- Exposure to data engineering and large-scale data processing is beneficial.
- Interest in, or experience with, the Power & Energy domain is an added advantage.
