Overview
This opportunity is with a partner company based in the United States seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to manage and enhance global payroll operations within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across diverse regions while maintaining compliance with local regulations.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll partners to streamline processes, support automation initiatives, and implement best practices, contributing substantially to payroll transformation and operational excellence. This detailed-oriented role is key to reinforcing employee trust and improving the overall workplace experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end payroll processing across multiple business entities and Employer of Record partnerships, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Address employee payroll queries with professionalism and empathy, providing clear and comprehensive resolutions.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain accurate records of compensation, benefits, and retirement plans across jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with all associated payroll regulations including taxation, social security, retirement plans, and statutory filings.
- Liaise with local payroll vendors and external partners to promptly resolve payroll issues and ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain payroll control systems, approval workflows, audit documentation, and records to prevent risks and errors.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and proactively advise on necessary payroll adjustments and process enhancements.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and other departments to develop scalable payroll procedures and improve employee experience.
- Contribute to payroll automation projects and global expansion initiatives to support organizational growth.
- Manage payroll-related communications including tax notices, wage garnishments, agency audits, and workforce reports.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements for payroll processes to achieve operational efficiencies.
- Maintain detailed payroll documentation, country-specific procedures, and operational checklists to support standardization and audit readiness.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a payroll specialist, analyst, or administrator.
- Proven experience managing payrolls across multiple entities, countries, or pay cycles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll compliance, taxation, benefits administration, and relevant statutory regulations.
- Experience utilizing HRIS and payroll management platforms, with familiarity in Rippling considered advantageous.
- Knowledge of international payroll systems, including UK PAYE and pensions, Netherlands social security, Singapore CPF, Malaysia SOCSO/EPF, LATAM social security, and US payroll laws.
- Experience managing variable compensation components such as bonuses, commissions, and incentives.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills adaptable across teams and time zones.
- Capability to prioritize various tasks independently and manage overlapping deadlines.
- Effective problem-solving aptitude paired with a proactive, improvement-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with HR, Finance, executive leadership, and external payroll providers.
- Preferred knowledge of regulations such as GDPR, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and emerging payroll compliance requirements.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary in the range of $75,000 to $85,000, dependent on experience and geographic location.
