Senior MEP Manager

Overview

The Senior MEP Project Manager will oversee the comprehensive planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Fire Protection, and ELV systems on large-scale construction ventures. This role ensures completion within safety standards, schedule, budget, project specifications, and client demands. The incumbent leads interdisciplinary teams and liaises with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout project phases.

Key Duties

• Lead all MEP scopes from design alignment through testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Create and track MEP project timelines, cost plans, resource allocations, and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate MEP work with civil, structural, architectural, façade, and interior fit-out teams.
• Evaluate and approve shop drawings, material proposals, method statements, and technical documents.
• Oversee MEP subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants ensuring punctual delivery.
• Monitor progress, assess risks and apply corrective measures to uphold schedule and budget.
• Guarantee compliance with project specs, local regulations, international standards, and HSE policies.
• Manage testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing and seamless project turnover.
• Participate in client, consultant, and progress meetings, delivering regular status updates.
• Support commercial functions including variation management, claims, cost control, and contracts.
• Guide and inspire project engineers and site personnel advocating a culture of performance and safety.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; Electrical Engineering degrees will also be considered.
• At least 15 years in MEP construction with 7+ years in senior project management.
• Proven track record in delivering high-end projects such as 5-star hotels, luxury hospitality, high-rise residential or commercial towers, or mixed-use developments.
• Experience working with Tier 1 main contractors is highly desirable.
• Strong expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, ELV, BMS, and commissioning technologies.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination is an asset.
• Project management certification such as PMP or equivalent is advantageous.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and problem-solving abilities.
