Senior Lifting Inspector

Position Summary

Prominent Team Consultancy (PTC) is looking for a seasoned Senior Lifting Inspector to establish and lead its new Lifting Inspection Division. The individual will be charged with providing technical oversight, operational management, and strategic direction for the division, ensuring strict adherence to standards set by EIAC, ADNOC, ENAS, and other industry regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the Lifting Inspection Division, maintaining the highest level of technical quality and regulatory compliance.
• Guide, supervise, and develop lifting inspectors, fostering expertise and productivity within the team.
• Offer expert technical advice on complicated lifting inspections and fulfill client-specific requirements.
• Review and authorize all inspection reports and certification documents for lifting equipment.
• Lead efforts for EIAC prequalification and assist in achieving EIAC accreditation for PTC's lifting inspection services.
• Manage coordination with regulatory organizations including ADNOC and ENAS to secure necessary approvals.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive lifting inspection procedures, quality manuals, work instructions, and checklists.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 17020 and relevant lifting equipment inspection standards.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of any findings.
• Plan and oversee inspection projects, resource allocation, and manpower to meet deadlines with quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate across teams and clients to guarantee smooth project delivery processes.
• Provide technical input to the Business Development department for client proposals, presentations, and prequalification documentation.
• Identify growth opportunities for lifting inspection services within the UAE and GCC markets.
• Represent PTC at technical forums, exhibitions, and industry events.
• Drive continuous improvement by adopting best practices and monitoring evolving industry standards and regulations.
• Propose new service areas, certifications, and technologies to enhance PTC’s inspection offerings.

Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of 15 years’ experience inspecting lifting equipment in Oil & Gas, Industrial, or Heavy Engineering sectors.
• Mandatory possession of Lifting Equipment Engineer Association (LEEA) Certification.
• Must hold Lifting Inspector Level 8 Qualification and ADNOC Approval as a Lifting Inspector.
• In-depth understanding of LOLER, BS 7121, ISO 17020, and ADNOC regulations related to lifting inspections.
• Proven experience in developing inspection procedures, quality manuals, and technical documentation.
• Experience handling EIAC prequalification, accreditations, and navigating regulatory permissions.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and technical reporting.
• Prior experience working in the UAE or GCC region is strongly preferred.
