Role Overview
The Innovation Discovery and Development team leads engagement across health technology sectors—including services, digital, medical technology, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals—with companies and local health and care partners. The team uncovers priorities and challenges, works with NHS England, OLS commissions, and commercial players to offer guidance on commercialization, market access, and real-world validation. It also collaborates to foster NHS-commercial partnerships that expedite adoption of impactful solutions across the West of England.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a broad portfolio of innovations at varying development stages, ensuring comprehensive gap analysis and tailored support plans.
- Design and deliver bespoke support packages aligned to universal, enhanced, and distinctive offers of the Health Innovation Network.
- Serve as liaison between innovators and health/care systems to facilitate knowledge sharing, feedback, and strategic advice guiding development.
- Plan and execute a range of events and activities involving innovators, industry, and system stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify system priorities and promote innovative solutions across health and care pathways.
- Oversee daily line management of staff and task management of cross-disciplinary colleagues within project timelines.
