Senior Injection Mold Designer

Role overview

Beacon Optronics is hiring an experienced Senior Injection Mold Design Engineer to take ownership of plastic injection mold projects end to end. The role is based in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and requires someone who can manage work independently from the initial concept stage through to manufacturing.

What you will do

• Create plastic injection mold designs in Siemens NX CAD.
• Build complete mold assemblies along with detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Carry out DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews and recommend practical design refinements.
• Discuss product requirements, mold concepts, and engineering revisions with customers.
• Partner with tooling and production teams through mold build, manufacturing, and trial runs.
• Choose suitable mold parts, cooling arrangements, ejection methods, and gating approaches.
• Deliver designs that align with quality standards, manufacturability, and project deadlines.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in plastic injection mold design and should be comfortable working on complex projects without close supervision. A background in Mechanical Engineering, either through a Bachelor's degree or Diploma, is required or an equivalent qualification. Strong working knowledge of Siemens NX CAD is essential, along with practical understanding of hot runner systems, cooling layout design, sliders, lifters, and unscrewing mechanisms. Familiarity with mold manufacturing methods and injection molding processes is also important, as is the ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.
