Senior Geology Manager

Role Overview

As the Senior Geology Manager, you will spearhead technical assessments of upstream oil and gas prospects, delivering expert geological insights to guide investment decisions, asset appraisals, and business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze exploration, appraisal, development, and producing oil and gas assets thoroughly.
• Perform technical screening and due diligence for potential acquisitions, farm-in deals, and investment opportunities.
• Evaluate geological prospectivity, estimate resources, and identify associated risks and uncertainties.
• Integrate data from geology, geophysics, reservoir, and production disciplines to underpin asset assessments.
• Conduct resource quantification, risk analysis, and prioritize opportunities effectively.
• Provide geological expertise for planning field development, optimal well placement, and reservoir management strategies.
• Contribute to developing technical recommendations for senior management and investment committees.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• At least 10 years of professional experience within the upstream oil and gas sector.
• Comprehensive background covering exploration, appraisal, development, and producing assets.
• Deep understanding of geological evaluation methods, resource assessment techniques, and subsurface data integration.
• Proven ability to collaborate within cross-disciplinary teams including geologists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers.
• Experience in asset evaluation, new venture assessments, or technical due diligence is advantageous.
• A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required; a master's degree in Engineering or related areas is preferred.
