- Lead cross-functional collaboration with product, compliance, and operations teams from problem definition to feature launch.
- Drive integration and settlement infrastructure development within your domain.
- Ensure operational reliability of your domain through monitoring, incident management, and on-call duties.
- Lead technical design reviews and provide mentorship to mid-level engineers.
- Leverage AI-assisted coding tools daily to enhance the software development lifecycle and lead modernization efforts transitioning legacy services to modern platforms.
Candidate Profile
- 6 to 10+ years of experience building production-grade backend services end-to-end.
- Expertise in C#/.NET preferred; other OOP languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Go are also acceptable.
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Proven ability to write and maintain automated tests.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in AWS environments, including use of SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda, and CI/CD.
- Strong skills in system design, including service-oriented architectures, microservices, and event-driven models.
- Domain experience in payments, foreign exchange, or regulated financial industries.
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience including mentoring, making architectural decisions, and conducting design reviews.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial ledgers, double-entry accounting systems, or financial data management.
- Involvement in hiring, onboarding, or interviewing engineers.
- Experience leading platform modernization or migrations.
- Familiarity with caching technologies such as Memcached or Redis.
- Use of project management/documentation software like Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or Bruno.
- Experience integrating AI-assisted test automation tools.
Benefits and Perks
- Paid day off on your birthday.
- Incremental annual leave increases up to 5 extra days based on years of service.
- Employer contributions to KiwiSaver beyond base salary.
- Healthcare coverage.
- Discounts through Euronet Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
- One paid volunteering day per year for a charity of choice.
- Office provides fresh fruit, snacks, beverages, and coffee.
- Access to mental health and wellness resources through Plumm.
