Key Responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements from planning phase through to audit completion.
- Oversee, guide, and mentor junior auditors during engagements.
- Review audit work to ensure quality and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships throughout the audit process.
- Represent the firm at client meetings as a trusted contact.
- Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and workflow efficiently.
- Prepare and critically assess audit documentation adhering to technical standards.
- Identify potential risks and communicate any concerns promptly to Audit Directors.
- Ensure all audit procedures comply with Australian Auditing and Accounting Standards.
- Contribute proactive ideas to enhance audit quality, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in external auditing roles within Australia.
- Professional accounting qualification preferred.
- Proven experience managing audit projects from start to finish.
- Demonstrated background in supervising or reviewing junior audit staff is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Australian auditing frameworks and accounting standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for relationship-building with clients.
- Proactive, organized, and client-centric work approach.
