About the Position

We are seeking a School Technical Officer for a temporary full-time engagement lasting six weeks, from October 6 to November 13. The role involves working five days per week, with daily hours from 7:15 am to 3:00 pm (7.25 hours per day). This position is based at Mountain Creek State High School located on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver prompt and effective technical support to staff and students, addressing ICT challenges and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various ICT devices including computers, printers, audiovisual equipment, and network hardware.
  • Assist in the upkeep and operation of the school's ICT network, maintaining reliability and security of systems.
  • Offer technical advice to staff to enhance the use of technology in educational and operational settings.
  • Manage ICT assets and infrastructure records while collaborating with departmental teams to implement effective technology solutions.

  • Possesses substantial technical expertise in ICT systems such as computing, networking, printing, and related school technologies.
  • Demonstrates proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
