SAP BTP Fiori Developer

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled SAP BTP Fiori Developer to join our team at Yellow Pages Kenya. The ideal candidate will be accountable for designing and building SAP Fiori/UI5 applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), focusing on delivering excellent user experiences and seamless integration with backend SAP systems hosted on the cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain custom SAP Fiori applications leveraging SAPUI5 and SAP Fiori Elements frameworks.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather and analyze application requirements.
• Implement integration of Fiori applications with OData services and APIs provided by SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud or other SAP cloud-based solutions.
• Utilize SAP BTP tools and services, including SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) and Cloud Foundry, for development and deployment.
• Ensure application performance optimization, security compliance, and usability standards are met.
• Conduct unit and integration testing of deliverables.
• Work collaboratively with both functional and technical teams to guarantee delivery of high-quality products.
• Promote adherence to SAP standards and best practices, such as the Fiori Design Guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience in SAPUI5 and SAP Fiori development.
• Practical knowledge of SAP Fiori Elements design and implementation.
• Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform services, including SAP Business Application Studio, Cloud Foundry, and Destinations.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and OData protocol.
• Experience with version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment processes using Git.
• Hands-on involvement in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud projects and service consumption.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing POD Plugins within SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC).
• Knowledge of Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) for application development.
• Understanding of backend development with Node.js or Java on the SAP BTP.
• Use of SAP-supported integrated development environments such as Visual Studio Code.
• Possession of relevant SAP certifications, for example SAP Certified Associate for Fiori or Backend Development in CAP.
• Familiarity with SAP API Business Hub resources.
