Role Overview

This opportunity is aimed at motivated and dynamic professionals with a background in Financial Crime Compliance (FCC). The position focuses on sanctions advisory and is suitable for junior to mid-level candidates who possess strong problem-solving abilities and can proactively drive tasks to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal expert on sanctions compliance, including assessment of risks, controls, industry standards, and regulatory obligations.
• Join a dynamic, agile team and assist the Global Head of Sanctions by providing practical guidance to Binance stakeholders on managing sanctions risk effectively and updating them on relevant regulatory changes.
• Monitor the regional regulatory landscape continuously and assist in interpreting legal developments to inform necessary policy changes.
• Critically analyze and improve processes related to identifying, documenting, and evaluating sanctions risks linked to Binance’s business operations, offering constructive advice where needed.
• Ensure Binance’s entities and staff investigate, address, and promptly resolve sanctions compliance issues in compliance with policy and regulation.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external key stakeholders, maintaining a global perspective on embedding sanctions compliance requirements within the business.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (BA/BS, JD, or Master’s preferred).
• Professional certification such as ACAMS or ACFCS is advantageous.
• Minimum three years of experience with sanctions compliance in an international financial institution is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of compliance systems and controls in banking, payment processing, or cryptocurrency sectors.
• Excellent skills in managing cross-functional and geographical stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to meet deadlines, make decisive actions, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Effective drafting, analytical reasoning, and communication capabilities.
