Role Overview
BW Packaging Systems, the packaging machinery platform of Barry-Wehmiller, is a $700 million business operating across eight countries with over 2,500 employees and 25 manufacturing sites. It integrates capabilities from many iconic BW Packaging brands to offer primary packaging, labeling, and end-of-line packaging machinery solutions. The Sales Executive will play a pivotal role in regional sales management, requiring a dynamic, self-driven individual with entrepreneurial spirit and strong interpersonal skills focused on understanding market needs and becoming a Trusted Advisor to customers. Collaborating closely with internal teams, the goal is to drive profitable and sustainable growth while delivering excellent customer experiences throughout the sales process and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Use structured pre-call planning and strategic questioning to identify customer needs and act as a trusted advisor, advancing sales opportunities through various stages and leveraging post-call analysis for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve profitable growth and outstanding customer service.
- Coordinate with sales colleagues to ensure an integrated and cohesive sales strategy across territories and product lines.
- Utilize CRM tools to maintain accurate sales forecasts, plan activities, and analyze data to formulate actionable plans.
- Analyze transaction trends, including reasons for wins or losses, close rates, and pipeline health, to develop effective action strategies.
- Present and communicate key sales opportunities clearly to secure organizational support, with a strong understanding of financial and margin aspects.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and seminars, and support other marketing initiatives as required.
- Maintain and enhance industry knowledge through professional development and networking.
- Travel extensively within the region (over 50% travel) to engage with customers, attend events, and participate in training.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exhibit professionalism, high integrity, and strong work ethic as a representative of Barry-Wehmiller.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven success in B2B sales of capital equipment, including track record of achievements and rankings.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, capable of understanding and communicating machinery applications and process solutions effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software to leverage data for opportunity identification, pipeline management, and decision-making.
- Professional demeanor aligned with Barry-Wehmiller’s values and principles.
- Experience in sales of packaging machinery, capital equipment, or industrial solutions; familiarity with Form-Fill-Seal, filling, labeling, or related technologies is highly preferred.
- Engineering or technical education background is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented, technically skilled, and proficient with computer tools including MS Office, presentations, proposals, and modern technologies such as AI.
- Ability to manage complex, long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and solution-based selling in regulated industries such as food, dairy, or meat.
- Capability to work effectively in multicultural and multinational contexts with cross-regional collaboration.
- Language proficiency in English, Arabic, and French.
