Overview
The Sales Director for APAC at PXG is responsible for directing the commercial strategy and sales efforts throughout the Asia-Pacific region. This leadership role focuses on driving revenue growth, enhancing distributor and retail partner performance, uncovering new market opportunities, and maintaining alignment with PXG’s global brand standards and business goals. As the main regional sales authority, this position collaborates closely with headquarters and local partners to ensure sustainable growth, precise forecasting, effective product launches, and an exceptional customer experience across APAC.
This role can be based in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, or Tokyo.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to meet revenue, profit, and market expansion goals across APAC.
- Manage and reinforce relationships with distributors, retailers, and strategic partners to uphold strong commercial performance and brand consistency.
- Identify and assess new business prospects, market growth strategies, and partnership opportunities to support long-term regional development.
- Oversee sales forecasting, reporting, and market insights, providing timely and accurate updates to international leadership and headquarters.
- Work with leadership to define annual objectives, budget allocations, staffing requirements, operational priorities, and commercial plans.
- Drive sales through detailed account planning, product education, partner engagement, and disciplined follow-up to meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets.
- Coordinate regional product launch activities and training programs with internal teams and market partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, finance, and customer experience teams to support regional priorities and resolve business challenges.
- Represent PXG professionally within the region, reinforcing premium brand positioning, customer service excellence, and product quality.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience within the golf industry is mandatory.
- Fluent English communication skills; Mandarin proficiency is highly advantageous.
- Proven track record leading regional sales efforts, managing distributor or retail networks, and generating revenue growth.
- In-depth understanding of golf markets in APAC, including channel dynamics, retail environments, distribution models, and consumer behavior.
- Capability to analyze market potential, develop partner strategies, and formulate commercial plans supporting premium brand expansion.
- Strong skills in verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication.
- Self-motivated and strategic thinker, able to work independently in a remote leadership capacity.
- High standards of confidentiality, professionalism, ethical conduct, and business judgment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM, ERP, and sales reporting tools preferred.
Education and Experience
Preferred candidates hold a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, International Business, or a related discipline. The role requires 10 to 15+ years of progressive sales experience, ideally within the golf or premium consumer goods sectors, including leadership or support of commercial growth across APAC.
Travel and Working Conditions
This primarily remote position necessitates regular travel within the APAC region, approximately 25% of the time, to support customers, distributors, retail partners, product launches, market visits, and events.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary around USD 120,000 plus uncapped 30% commission.
