Role Overview

The Room Attendant position is a full-time, on-site role responsible for ensuring guest rooms and public areas are kept clean, secure, and inviting as per the hotel's quality standards. Daily duties involve cleaning and readying rooms, replenishing supplies, bed making, laundry management, and reporting any maintenance needs. The role requires adherence to housekeeping checklists and strict health, safety, and hygiene guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in guest rooms and common areas consistent with hotel standards.
• Replenish guest amenities and ensure beds are properly made for comfort.
• Manage laundering of linens, towels, and guest laundry following hygiene protocols.
• Identify and report maintenance issues promptly to ensure swift resolution.
• Follow prescribed housekeeping schedules and checklists accurately.
• Abide by health, safety, and sanitation regulations rigorously.
• Engage politely and professionally with guests and respond to their service requests.
• Collaborate smoothly with housekeeping and front desk teams to deliver a seamless hospitality experience.
• Work shifts including weekends and holidays as part of operational requirements.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Proven housekeeping capabilities with knowledge of hotel cleaning protocols.
• Experience or skills in handling laundry duties aligned with hygiene and quality standards.
• Strong customer service orientation and clear communication skills for guest interaction.
• Organizational skills and time management to efficiently complete room tasks.
• Previous experience in similar hotel or housekeeping roles is advantageous; motivated newcomers are also welcome.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate weights throughout a shift, maintaining safety and hygiene standards.
• Completion of high school or equivalent is beneficial; training on hotel procedures will be provided.
