Job description
Position Overview
The Risk Trader will manage trading and risk responsibilities for all horse and greyhound racing offerings across Flutter's UK and Ireland brands. This role involves overseeing day-to-day greyhound desk operations, ensuring competitively priced markets, and developing antepost and special markets specifically for greyhound racing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze betting data continuously to maintain pricing precision.
- Communicate real-time risk metrics to horse racing traders effectively.
- Produce retrospective risk reports and conduct post-trading performance analyses.
- Manage customer portfolios by tailoring betting products to meet their needs and handle customer-level risks and liabilities including bet settlement.
- Price all domestic UK and Ireland greyhound races daily and maintain a strong market proposition across brands.
- Develop and offer industry-leading special and extra markets to boost customer engagement.
- Stay informed about antepost competitions and other industry trends.
- Operate efficiently in a fast-paced trading environment and collaborate with the wider racing team on risk management and related projects.
- Utilize strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, to create detailed reports and presentations.
