Role Overview

As an Assistant Store Manager at Petstock, you will partner with the Store Manager to lead a motivated team delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

• Lead by example, inspiring and mentoring the team daily
• Assist the Store Manager in coaching team members to develop their expertise and skills
• Consistently deliver outstanding customer experiences by lead-from-the-front approach
• Promote a strong safety culture and commitment to Work Health & Safety within the team
• Support stock management to ensure accurate inventory and adherence to stock integrity procedures
• Help manage visual merchandising standards effectively in-store
• Maintain current knowledge of pet care, products, and services to demonstrate initiative
• Recruit, onboard, and orient new high-quality team members
• Foster a positive, fun workplace culture that encourages team engagement and satisfaction
• Support local marketing initiatives and sponsorship opportunities proactively

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in retail store leadership or readiness to advance into retail management
• A proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales goals
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and nurture a positive work environment
• Effective prioritization and management of competing tasks to meet deadlines
• Commitment to safe work practices and health and safety standards
• Sound business understanding and acumen
• Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and flexibility in work delivery
• Excellent interpersonal abilities to cultivate relationships with customers and colleagues
