About the Role
The Responsibility Specialist will handle operational and administrative support for the Responsibility Lead across ESG-focused work. This position helps gather and manage ESG data, coordinate projects, and support supply chain due diligence, contributing to responsibility initiatives across the business in line with legislation, reporting obligations, and group objectives.
The role works closely with internal teams and the wider Responsibility function to support the rollout, tracking, and ongoing improvement of ESG activities, while encouraging collaboration across departments.
Key Responsibilities
ESG delivery and project coordination
- Assist with ESG project coordination and delivery by monitoring tasks, milestones, and project records across departments.
- Help align sustainability objectives and ESG KPIs for LTD lines with reporting needs.
- Gather sustainability inputs from internal teams and the wider Responsibility function for LTD lines.
Data collection, reporting, and analysis
- Support the gathering, consolidation, and checking of ESG data across core reporting areas.
- Cover carbon reporting for Scopes 1, 2, and 3, ESG disclosures, and supply chain due diligence and traceability.
- Help departments submit complete, accurate, and timely ESG information.
- Assist with ESG reporting outputs, analysis, and related reporting tasks.
Supply chain responsibility and due diligence
- Support supplier due diligence, onboarding, ESG performance monitoring, and tracking of corrective actions.
- Help with supplier audits and follow-up actions when needed.
- Monitor Modern Slavery requirements and responsible sourcing due diligence processes.
- Help maintain and grow supplier information and traceability data for LTD lines.
Product and materials sustainability support
- Support the capture, integration, and reporting of preferred materials data and other sustainability information for LTD lines.
- Collect sustainability updates from all relevant departments.
- Assist with leftover materials and circularity-related coordination and data collection for LTD processes where relevant.
- Maintain databases covering innovative materials, suppliers, and projects.
Regulatory and ESG compliance support
- Help prepare for current and emerging ESG regulations, including CSRD, EUDR, Conflict Minerals, Modern Slavery, and due diligence obligations.
- Assist with ESG reporting requirements and regulatory submissions where needed.
- Keep ESG documentation, reporting records, and evidence files organised to support governance, traceability, and audit readiness.
Internal engagement and communication
- Support ESG workshops, training sessions, and internal engagement activities.
- Assist with ESG communications and awareness initiatives across the business where appropriate.
Stakeholder and project support
- Help manage internal and external stakeholder engagement where required.
- Prepare and update meeting materials, reports, trackers, and project summaries.
- Maintain accurate ESG records and trackers.
- Stay informed on sustainability trends, emerging regulations, and industry best practices.
General responsibilities
- Keep ESG documentation and trackers accurate and up to date.
- Remain current on sustainability developments and regulatory changes.
- Support additional projects and initiatives as needed.
Profile and Skills
The ideal candidate will have either experience or an academic background in sustainability, ESG, or a related discipline. They should be highly organised, comfortable working with data, and confident coordinating with stakeholders. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to juggle several priorities and deadlines are important for success in this role.
Useful knowledge includes ESG reporting frameworks, sustainability reporting requirements, supply chain due diligence and traceability, carbon and emissions data management, and current ESG regulations and responsible sourcing expectations. Experience in fashion, retail, or supply chain settings would be beneficial. Additional language ability, especially Italian, would also be an advantage.
