Job Purpose

The main responsibility of the Regional Fleet Manager is overseeing fleet compliance at assigned depots to ensure they operate legally and safely. This includes supporting depots to maintain efficient service through rigorous compliance monitoring and training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a named Fleet Manager on Operator's Licences relevant to responsible depots.
  • Continuously monitor fleet compliance levels to guarantee legal operation at assigned depots.
  • Manage and complete all Fleet Compliance Rating submissions within given deadlines.
  • Identify and document any compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Escalate unresolved major compliance problems appropriately.
  • Train depot personnel to maintain adequate local compliance knowledge and standards.
  • Conduct both initial induction and refresher training programs on fleet-related subjects.
  • Manage repair agent compliance issues and ensure repair contracts are valid and recorded.
  • Prepare and submit DVSA Earned Recognition maintenance reports every four weeks for respective depots.
  • Engage in project work aimed at improving compliance, updating procedures, or addressing additional fleet matters.
  • Investigate serious road traffic collisions and coordinate with enforcement agencies.
  • Approve or reject vehicle approvals for owned fleet within two working days of notification.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must possess an International CPC Qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience managing fleets within large, fast-moving organizations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, data-oriented, highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator able to influence stakeholders at all levels through oral and written means.
  • Capable of making decisive and effective decisions under pressure.
  • Problem-solving enthusiast with resilience, self-drive, and adaptability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with excellent computer literacy.

Working Hours and Location

This permanent role involves working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at either the Liverpool or Preston site.
