Role Overview

As a Recruiter at Profound, you will act as the adaptable cornerstone of our talent acquisition team. Unlike recruiters who focus narrowly on specific domains, you will manage end-to-end hiring processes across varied company needs, spanning technical, go-to-market, general and administrative roles, as well as pioneering searches that challenge conventional categories. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on diversity in recruiting challenges and desires to drive critical hiring priorities throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive recruitment cycles for prioritized functions including engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and finance, as well as newly emergent roles.
• Quickly shift focus and priorities in response to evolving business demands, collaborating with specialized GTM and Technical recruiters to handle overflow and lead novel or atypical searches.
• Develop sourcing strategies from the ground up for unfamiliar or first-time roles, establishing effective recruitment processes and playbooks.
• Work closely with company founders and hiring managers to design candidate scorecards, structure interview processes, and set strict timelines for each recruitment effort.
• Compose clear, engaging outreach communications and deliver a high-touch candidate experience throughout the hiring lifecycle, from initial contact to offer acceptance.
• Maintain rigorous applicant tracking system hygiene, monitor funnel metrics, analyze conversion rates, and iteratively improve recruiting tactics.

Candidate Profile

• Experienced, versatile recruiter proficient in full-cycle hiring across diverse functions, energized by varied role responsibilities rather than specialization.
• Able to quickly understand unfamiliar roles and formulate effective sourcing plans amidst ambiguity.
• Highly proactive and flexible, capable of reprioritizing swiftly in a dynamic business environment.
• Creative sourcing specialist with an established network and the determination to build connections anew if needed.
• Analytical and process-oriented, adept at tracking recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill and source effectiveness, with the ability to resolve bottlenecks efficiently.
• Proven track record in fast-growth startup environments, preferably with experience in the New York City ecosystem.

Work Location

This position requires onsite presence at Profound's offices located in San Francisco or New York City. We seek builders who excel in fast-paced, iterative environments with a strong desire to contribute meaningful impact.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this role in NYC and SF is between $160,000 and $215,000 annually. Compensation includes base pay, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. Final salary will be determined based on your relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and location during the interview stage.
