Role Overview

This position focuses on building quantitative trading systems rather than merely executing trades. The chosen candidate will be responsible for creating trading signals, developing models and algorithms, enhancing automated strategies, and assisting in expanding trading activities into new markets.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct research, develop, and rigorously test quantitative trading signals and systematic strategies.
Create and refine trading models, algorithms, and automated trade logic.
Perform backtesting, scenario analysis, walk-forward testing, and performance evaluations.
Continuously monitor strategy performance, risks, exposures, and profit and loss attribution.
Develop Python-based tools to support research, pricing, risk assessment, and trade execution systems.
Collaborate with senior traders and engineers to build infrastructure and data pipelines.
Translate quantitative research outcomes into actionable trading decisions.
Propose innovative ideas for new products, trading strategies, and market opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

Between 1 and 4 years of experience in quantitative trading, research, or a similar analytical role.
Prior experience with market making, either in crypto-native or traditional markets, is essential.
Proven track record in developing trading signals, models, or algorithms; purely execution-focused experience will not qualify.
Deep understanding of cryptocurrency and digital asset markets.
Proficient in Python programming and capable of independent work in a demanding, ownership-driven environment.
Excellent analytical, statistical, and quantitative problem-solving skills.

Additional Required Skills

Expertise with systematic or algorithmic market-making strategies.
Familiarity with options, derivatives, volatility modeling, or OTC financial products.
In-depth knowledge of crypto market structures, including centralized exchanges, perpetual futures, and liquidity dynamics.
Experience with risk management techniques such as stress testing and scenario analysis.
Educational background in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, engineering, or related quantitative fields.
Ability to program in C++ or another language besides Python.
