Role Overview
Cairn is seeking a Quality Manager to join their Quality team, reporting directly to the Quality Lead. This role involves collaborating with site and quality teams to advocate for and embed quality standards across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Quality Lead with assigned certifier and industry-specific quality knowledge.
- Coordinate, prepare, and lead the rollout of the Procore Quality Document Management System (DMS) platform.
- Manage updates to the current DMS quality forms and processes through regular coordination with the DMS team.
- Conduct regular evaluations of Cairn's Quality processes and procedures, focusing on robust benchmarking and alignment with BCAR requirements.
- Ensure compliance with partner/client contractual obligations and review industry comparator processes.
- Participate in benchmarking inspections at sites.
- Perform independent internal audits on ongoing projects, assessing product compatibility, application suitability, and robustness.
- Issue quality memos and alerts in agreement with the Quality Lead.
- Collaborate with Technical Managers on product specifications, technical sub-approvals, and anticipate requirements such as Homebond, LDI, Passive House, and purchaser protections.
- Provide scheduled in-house training covering BCAR processes, facade and fire safety, assigned certifier roles, quality management during construction, and identifying strategic training needs.
- Coordinate project quality process implementation with construction teams.
- Review and improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure alignment with quality policies and business objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10 years' experience in construction, technical, or quality-related roles.
- Technical background in building surveying, inspection, or engineering quality standards.
- Familiarity with BCAR compliance and implementation.
- Proficiency in data analysis and manipulation.
- Understanding of material compliance and compatibility.
- Experience in people and stakeholder management.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a results-driven and curious approach.
- Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Accountability to challenge and drive resolution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
